The Book of Mormon

The Book of Mormon is a musical comedy about two young Mormon missionaries who travel to Uganda in hopes of converting the locals. The show has been running since 2011, making it one of London’s longest-running shows.

The Book of Mormon is known for its humour, which is mostly based on stereotypes and exaggerations of American culture (for example: “Mormons don’t drink coffee”). It also pokes fun at religious practices such as baptism and missionary work. The play was co-written by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone with Robert Lopez (who later wrote Frozen).
